Groups in migme allow users to join or create an online community to share common interests or topics.
The following features are available with groups:
Group wall - Post important news and announcements
Chatrooms - Link your chatrooms to the group.
Group chatroom commands - Manage your own group and community
Group settings - Promote moderators and ban users of your own group
Forum - Share your thoughts and opinions by posting new topics
Polls - Create fun polls for people to vote
Photos - Upload photos and comment on photos of other users.
RSS Feeds - Get popular RSS feeds for your group and receive instant news and information.
Linked groups – You can link your favourite or other similar groups to your own group and community.
Members – You can view your group members and manage their statuses here
Only users with Level 10 and above can create groups
1. Login to migme
2. Select "Discover"
3. Select " More "
4. Select " Create a group "
There are 3 different group types:
1. Public groups: free and open to all users to join
2. By Approval groups: users need to send a request to join and will only be a member of the group once accepted by the group owner or moderators;
3. Private groups: users can only join the group by invitation from owners or moderators.
Group owners, moderators and members exist in a group.

These are some group chatroom commands that Group owners and moderators can use to govern their group- linked chatrooms.
· /mute [username]
This command is used to mute a user in a group-linked chatroom. It will mute the specific user in the group chatroom. This mute will only apply to the particular chatroom and will not affect the user's ability to partake in other chatrooms or use other features.
· /unmute [username]
This command is used to unmute a user in a group- linked chatroom.. It will unmute the specific user in the group chatroom and allow the user to partake in all activities in the chatroom.
· /silence [time]
This command is used to mute the entire group-linked chatroom.. It turns on mute for all users in a group chatroom for [time] seconds, the minimum value for [time] is 30 seconds and maximum value is 600 seconds, if no [time] is given, the default value is 30 seconds. When a chatroom is silenced, the Game bots still continue to run.
· /kick [username]
This command is used to kick a user from a group chatroom, where it results in a temporary suspension for one hour from all that particular group's linked chatrooms.. During the suspension, the user will still be able to login and use other features or enter other chatrooms.
· /ban [username] [reason]
This command is used to ban a user from a group chatroom. It results in the target user being banned from from the group and all chatrooms linked with that particular group permanently. However, the banned user should still be able to login and use other features or join other groups.
· /unban [username] [reason]
This command is used to unban a user from a group. The unbanned user is allowed to join the group and all the chatrooms in it linked with the particular group.
· /botstop ! [time]
This command stops all bots in the room and sets a timer that no bot can run for [time] seconds except for a bot that the owner or moderator sets up. The [time] can be chosen between 120 to 3600 seconds. If no time is given, the bot will be stopped forever until the user uses “/bot” to bring the bot back.
· /lock
This command locks a chatroom, where no one except the group owner or moderators can enter the room. The room will be locked as long as the owner or moderators are in it and it will be unlocked once the last moderator leaves the room.
· /unlock
This command unlocks a chatroom.
· /announce [message] [time]
This command starts an announcement that appears every [time] seconds in a chatroom. A chatroom can only display one announcement. [time] can be chosen between 120 to 2600 seconds. If no time is given, the announcement will only show upon login to the chatroom. The announcement message is limited to 320 characters.
· /announce off
This command turns off announcements in a chatroom.
· /broadcast [message]
This command broadcasts an announcement to all the users in all the linked chatrooms in a group. The broadcast message is limited to 320 characters.
· /description [description]
This command sets the description of the chatroom to [description].
· /invite [username]
When in a chatroom which is owned by a group, users can create an “invite” for a friend to join the group. There is only one invite allowed for one friend per group.
